Jan Van Beek

On Thursday, December 25, 1975 was in the Brabant village Rijsbergen, located between Breda and Zundert, Jan was born as the youngest of the family Van Beek.

On the livestock farm of his parents grew in January, along with his two older sisters, in between the cows and pigs.

When Jan was 5 years old he got his first pony, Rascal.

Jan has in his pony time many successes and was a terror to many peers as they put his name on the start list saw stand. His successful pony time in 1991 nearly awarded a participation in the European Championships in Diepenheim, were it not that his pony Woodpecker first veterinary inspection is not passed.

After the move to the horses focused mainly on Jan. jumping until in 1997 he broke through in the higher classes of the Eventing sport. Meanwhile the balance completely beaten to Eventing sport. The beauty of the Eventing sport is that all disciplines must master to achieve a good result. Training a well-Eventing horse takes a long time. You should not only train the various parts, but you also have a good bond with your horse. During the cross you on your horse can trust and know that he has everything for you. It is a kick as you put together a tough contest a success have brought.

Jan is someone who has done a lot (and still is) for the Dutch Eventing world. Jan has its good performance partly responsible for the rise of the Eventing sport in the Netherlands and has many young people enthusiastic for this sport.

In 1999 and 2002, Jan participated in the National Championship Riders. End of 2002, Jan started for the first time in Boekelo. Jan: "That was really a dream come true. When I was on the day of the cross from the caravan got, I flew back as soon as possible back inside. What a lot of audience, I was spontaneously sick with nerves!"

Another highlight of his career was the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006. All the public and the entourage that is top. The team feeling with the other Dutch participants, Chantal Megchelenbrink and Werner Giving, and the performance we gave it as a team was kicking.

Most Dutch Eventer starting in 2010
In January 2010, more than 100x started in Eventing competition and is the most Eventer starting from Netherlands. January rides horses from green to international level. In addition, Jan is still active in the training of horses.
